Currently we are seeking the right individual to fill a newly created position. We are looking for an experienced prosecutor who is self-motivated, can handle a smaller but complex case load covering different types of felonies with little to no supervision. This position will carry cases in all three of our district offices so travel will be required. This position can be based in the county office of choice (Belen, Bernalillo or Grants). Schedule will be flexible but dependent upon scheduled court hearings. Salary commensurate with experience. The position will be open until filled.
Victim Witness Assistant
The 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is seeking an entry level Victim Witness Assistant to provide services to victims and witnesses of crimes. The Victim Witness Assistant will work out of our Sandoval County Office in Bernalillo, NM. This position will be filled mid to late June 2021. While this is an entry level position, some experience and familiarity with the criminal justice system and court proceedings would be ideal. Additional requirements include but are not limited to interpersonal and communication skills with a variety of populations, cross-cultural sensitivity, and an ability to work harmoniously with outside agencies and individuals. Bi-Lingual English/Spanish a plus.
The 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is seeking a Secretary to work in our Sandoval County (Bernalillo) Office. This position provides basic secretarial assistance to office staff. Secretarial duties include but are not limited to preparation of documents and correspondence, maintenance of calendars, and files, answering telephone preparing and maintaining case files, data entry including Case Management System entry. This is an entry level position. Training and opportunities to advance will be made available. Preferred experience, two years work experience and/or education in a related field. High School Diploma or GED. $16.00 per hour to start plus benefits. Position Open until filled.
